Developing Your Current Employees in Times of Disruption

Natasha Preocanin, Managing Director from In-house Recruitment interviews Della Rath from Aon’s Assessment Solutions about the challenges that talent acquisition professionals are currently facing during these times of change.

With many organizations needing to freeze hiring activity due to the uncertainty of the current situation, Della explores how firms are looking at their current employee workforce to fill the roles needed.

In this short video, she also talks about the roles of the future and how those roles may be successfully filled from within the organization by understanding the current talent pool already in place and the attributes, skills and competencies needed for the future such as agility, curiosity and learnability. Della explains how assessment can identify these, why behaviors are more durable than skills, and how to define the behaviors needed for the roles of the future.

She also explains why a definition of high potential needs to change and a rethink of what makes for great leadership.
