The airline industry is facing many opportunities and challenges. Some of these are brought about by changes in technology, changes in demographic profile and customer expectation, the vagaries of the economy, as well as increased competition. Not to mention geopolitical factors.

In Singapore Airlines, apart from investments in our airplanes and our products we also review our key commercial processes to ensure operational efficiency, as well as to provide services and products that our customers want, in addition to heavy investment in digital enablers.

The new state is better than the old on several fronts. For instance, improvement in crewing efficiency and reduction in engineering related delays. As well as from an employee standpoint there is greater engagement, resulting in a 5% increase in terms of crew engagement scores, due to a flattened structure and more empowerment.
